Or once people treat me better, then I will believe that I am enough. Yes, this one is for you. The hard truth you're not going to feel better because the world magically rearranged itself for you. But the empowering truth is that you don't need it to. And so in this episode we're going to breaking that down. Why real change doesn't start with a number, a timeline or someone else's validation. Here's a quote that I love that says nothing around you will change until something within you does, and I really want you to sit with that for a second, like let it sink in not just in your head but in your heart, because how many times have we thought that once our circumstances change, then we'll finally feel better, like once I lose the weight, then I'll feel confident. Once I get more support at home, then I'll finally be consistent. Once people start treating me better, then I'll believe I'm worthy of love, attention or taking up space. But, sister, can I gently challenge that? That's not how transformation actually works. It's not once the world changes then we will. It's when we change then the world around us starts to reflect it. Let me repeat that again it's when we change, then the world around us starts to reflect it.

You cannot wait for your environment to shift before you decide to shift internally. You can't keep outsourcing your peace, your confidence, your joys, your success, your happiness, the life that you want or the body that you want, to something or someone outside of you, because that thing, that perfect moment that someday it may never come, in fact it most likely will never come. And if all you're ever doing is waiting for that shift to happen outside of you, but you, you're here now and that means that you get to choose differently now. Let me tell you something If you're constantly putting yourself last, if you're filling everyone else's cup and letting yours stay empty, if you're waiting until you hit a goal to finally start treating yourself with kindness, you're robbing yourself of the very transformation that you're chasing. The outside will never shift until your internal patterns do your habits, your thoughts, your self-talk, your belief, how you treat your body, how you speak to your body, how you respect your body.

So now you understand that the shift needs to start on the inside. But what does that really look like? I know that can feel very abstract, like, okay, julie, that's great, I get it, but what do I do with that? How do I actually start changing from the inside out? Here's what I want you to focus on first, start with how you treat your body, because so often when we talk about growth or transformation, we skip straight to mindset, work, motivation or some big identity shift.

And while, yes, all of that matters, the truth is that your body is the vessel you live your entire life, and when your body doesn't feel good, when it's undernourished or overworked or ignored or punished, everything else feels harder. So if you're stuck, if you're spinning your wheels, if you're waking up every day feeling off, depleted, unmotivated, unhappy, disconnected, start there. Start with your body. Start by asking am I fueling myself in a way that actually supports me? Am I honoring my body with movement? Am I moving in a way that feels empowering, not like punishment. Am I treating my body like someone I love or like someone I'm constantly trying to fix? Because, let me tell you, when you start nourishing your body with what it truly needs, your energy improves, your mood stabilizes, your confidence grows.

And when you start honoring your body with movement, not as a way to earn food or shrink yourself, but as a way to build strength and connection, you start walking through life differently. You're no longer dragging yourself throughout life differently. You're no longer dragging yourself throughout the day, you're no longer dreading your reflection, you're no longer operating from burnout, guilt or frustration. Instead, you're rooted, you're grounded, you feel capable. And that's when your mindset starts to shift, because now your brain isn't stuck in survival mode, it can actually believe new thoughts, it can actually receive encouragement, it can actually build momentum. From there, you'll naturally start treating yourself with more kindness, more grace, more belief, and you'll begin showing up like someone who matters. Because you feel like someone who matters.

And that's the shift, that's how you take your power back, not by waiting until your life calms down or your body looks better, but by choosing right now to give yourself the care and respect that you've always deserved. And when you do that, when you nourish, move and speak to yourself with love, things change not just on the inside, but also on the outside. You stand taller, not because your body changed overnight, but because you feel more capable and confident. You stop second guessing everything, not because your life got easier, but because you started believing that and confident. You stopped second guessing everything not because your life got easier, but because you started believing that you could do hard things and that you can trust yourself. And you stopped chasing worth, not because you had a goal, but you realized it's okay, you're already doing what you're doing. You don't need to be chasing your worth. God loves you right where you're at.

And here's the wildest part. People treat you the way that you treat you. When you show up with respect for yourself, others take note. When you speak kindly to yourself, others speak kindly too. When you believe that you're worthy of good things, others start to believe that too, and suddenly your world feels different, not because everyone changed, but because you did so.
